I have >15 years of experience in biological research, working efficiently within several fields, specifically Microbiology, Computational Biology, Evolution, and Molecular biology.
Broadly, the research interests of my lab lie in understanding microbial diversity, evolution, and function using diverse model organisms, such as Myxobacteria, Vibrio, etc. With the development of remarkable sequencing technologies, an enormous amount of data is being generated, which can be used to infer interesting evolutionary theories, physiological behavior, and putative lifestyles such as pathogenicity/symbiosis/parasitism. Utilizing high throughput data from diverse sequencing platforms and open-access sources, my lab members try to bridge the gap between data, biological function, and evolution.
